About Distance Calculation
This tool calculates the distance between two points on Earth using the Haversine formula, which accounts for the Earth's spherical shape. The calculation provides the great-circle distance, which is the shortest distance between two points on the surface of a sphere.
How to use: Enter the latitude and longitude coordinates for both points, or use the "Use My Location" button to automatically fill in your current position. Click "Calculate Distance" to see the results in kilometers, miles, and nautical miles.
Coordinate format: Use decimal degrees (DD) format. Positive values for North latitude and East longitude, negative values for South latitude and West longitude.
- Latitude range: -90 (South Pole) to 90 (North Pole)
- Longitude range: -180 (West) to 180 (East)
